Charles E Martin Builders
Story
The story of Charles E. Martin Builders began over 60 years ago, when Charles II built his first log home in western Kentucky. This home was built with recycled logs from rustic barns and buildings which were already over 100 years old.
His parents, Hensen and Ruth Martin loved the home so much they had their son build them one in very much the same way.
His interest in this kind of construction continued until the early 70's when he came across his first log home constructed from new material. After several inquiries about the evolution of these new structures, he made a phone call to his son, Charles E. Martin, III and asked if he would be interested in going into business with him.
As a result of this invitation, Charles III, has been building custom log and timber frame homes for over 25 years across the U.S.
A third generation of Martin Builders, Richard Martin joined his father in Taos, NM, where they both live.
While each home is unique, all are designed with the same goals: to tailor the home to the way the family lives, to make the most effective and creative use of space and to realize the owners dreams.

We were 600 miles away and still employed during the construction, so it wasn't feasable for us to be "on location."
